Day 12 Denver,CO to Colorado Springs,CO and back to Denver,CO
Okay...I am going to start backward....we just finished a snacky dinner at the hotel. Even though it is 10 pm NY time. It is 8pm here. We are all so tired, Beca made Mac and cheese in the microwave and forgot the water.....it started a smoky fire...and it set off all the alarms in the hotel! The fire department had to come to our room! We all laughed afterwards, but it wasn't funny at the time.
Before that we went to a Walmart Grocery store! It was funny to only see groceries! Before that, we went to a really cool place. It was the Manitou Cliff Dwellings. There was Anasazi cliff dwelling that were 700 years old. It was so much fun to crawl around in them on the mini cliffs.
Before that, we went to The Garden of The Gods. It is a collection of huge fans of sandstone that have been lifted perpendicular in the air. They are huge and beautful. All around us is mountains in the distance and green, and traffic and then all of a sudden this one area of REALLY red sandstone rocks. It looks like they were planted there! I am running out of time to get this posted. I am just going to post this and tommorrow add an extra day for this day. Sorry! I am so tired!
