Day 14
Whew! We did it! We got up and over the Rocky Mountains! It was hard, but we stopped often enough. Beca got quick little headaches that only lasted a few minutes and her legs hurt, she was already tired from Denver. I had a splitting headache all day. Zack put it perfectly. "If yu let your head do figure 8s, that is how it feels!" Chris was okay, but then he had a moment of really feeling lightheaded. He could feel short of breath the most, probably from his whooping cough damage. Apparently. 11,000 feet high does not agree with us! We are down lower now, much lower! Everyone is fine, but very tired. It was a stressful trip on all of us and the car going over the mountains. It should have taken 5 hours, it took us 9 hours. We are staying at the Jensen Inn. It is so quiet here! We are in a tent, mom and dad are in the INN. My kids think that is funny to be in the inn! Today was incredible, as far as landscapes t hat we went through. I can't get to the photos tonite. We are in a really remote area, and we arrived at dark. I just got everyone in bed, and I need sleep. I guess I am now 3 days behind in posting.....sorry.
